This project which is also linked to the England Cricket Board competition framework is aimed at introducing Kwick Cricket to children in years 5 and 6 through the development of core FUNdamental skills which will allow them to take part in small and friendly competitive experiences.

Only four primary schools have been selected to take part in this project and to kick start this link, schools will have the opportunity to access three weeks of free curriculum coaching from Simon Hammond - Community Cricket Coach

Following on from the coaching sessions a cricket festival will be held at Compton and Chandlers Ford Cricket Club on Wednesday 23rd May 2007 between 12.30pm and 3.00pm.   This festival will not be competition lead but will comprise of activity stations which will focus on key areas of cricket such as bowling, fielding and batting, however some small games will be part of the festival to allow children to put into place their new skills.
