The ECB has announced that the following players have been selected for the England Under-19 squad to play Bangladesh Under-19s in the Friends Provident Under-19 Test series:

Hampshire Cricket's Hamza Riazuddin has been named as Captain of England U19's for the Test and Oned Day series.

Fellow Hampshire players Danny Briggs, James Vince and Chris Wood have also been included in the Test and One Day squads.

The players selected for the first Test are to report for pre-test preparation on the evening of Wednesday 1 July to the National Cricket Performance Centre, Loughborough, before heading to Scarborough by coach on the afternoon of Saturday 4 July.

Leicestershire head coach Tim Boon has agreed to allow Josh Cobb and James Taylor to be selected in the England Under-19 squad for the first Test against Bangladesh Under-19s in Scarborough, starting on July 6, despite being in his first team squad the day after the Test finishes.

On their return to Leicestershire’s first team squad, David Willey of Northamptonshire and Luke Wells of Sussex will be included in the squad for the second Test at Derby, beginning on July 12.

The decision to pilot a selection process this season, which allows any Under-19s player in their county’s first XI to remain with the county, will mean that the players highlighted (*) will play county first XI cricket.
