Hampshire Cricket Charity Golf Day
Tuesday 20th July
Remedy Oak Golf Course, Dorset
Hampshire Cricket players will be attending a Charity Golf Day on Tuesday 20th July at Remedy Oak Golf Course in Dorset to help raise money for The Hampshire County Cricket Youth Trust.
The team will be joining with members of the public for 18 entertaining holes of golf followed by a fantastic three course dinner with wine and an awards presentation.
The Charity Golf Day is one of the most highly anticipated events in The Rose Bowl’s sporting and social calendar and provides a fun day out for golf lovers of all abilities at a delightful golf course in a marvellous setting.
Last year Sean Ervine, Michael Lumb and club captain Dimitri Mascarenhas attended the event.
Michael Lumb, Dimi Mascarenhas and Sean Ervine join Kevin Smith (The Rose Bowl) and Sally Hillyear (Hampshire Autistic Society) at last year's event
Mascarenhas said; “The Charity Golf Day is a really relaxed, fun event. It’s a great opportunity for us, as players, to meet fans of the team and to raise money for a very worthy cause at the same time.
“The Hampshire County Cricket Youth Trust is one of The Rose Bowl’s own charities and does a great deal of good work to support all forms of youth cricket, donating money for equipment and artificial pitches. We’re delighted to be involved, and hope the event can raise a lot more money again this year.”
Places are still available to take part in the Charity Golf Day. Tickets cost £450 + VAT per team (four ball), which includes morning tea/coffee and bacon rolls, 18 holes with a shot gun start, 9th hole refreshments, three course dinner with wine and awards presentation.

About The Hampshire County Cricket Youth Trust:
- The trust was established in 1985 with the aim of providing or assisting the provision of facilities, equipment and coaching in Hampshire that will enable and encourage young persons under the age of 21 to play cricket. The aim is to achieve the development of physical and mental education of the boys and girls through sport.
- Particular mention is made of the provision of facilities for social welfare with the aim of improving conditions for children who, by reason of their youth or social and economic circumstances, have need of these facilities.
- There are five trustees who meet four times a year to primarily review requests for funds which must meet the objects of the Trust. Fundraising is another task as the Trust has a need to replenish funds depleted by the awards it makes.
