Mid-Season Members’ Update

Just over half way through the season and at the time of writing, the Team is lying 6th in the LV Championship 1st Division with just 19 points separating the top and bottom sides. In the Twenty20 Cup we are competing well and pushing hard for a quarter final place.

Off the field, we are very keen to increase the level of communication with our Members and following a recent meeting with members of the Hampshire Cricket Members’ Committee, we have jointly agreed a number of initiatives that should help with this aim.

Firstly, we have decided to stage a Mid-Season Forum, to take place in the Hampshire Suite on Sunday 29th June at 9:30am, before the start of play of the Championship match against Nottinghamshire. This will be an opportunity to ask questions of and make suggestions to myself and Rose Bowl plc Managing Director, Glenn Delve, principally about off-field activities. Operations Director, Chris Egelstaff will also be there to answer queries regarding facilities and other operational issues.

The second communication initiative is a Committee Desk that will be manned for an hour before the start of play before all remaining one-day games and on the first day only of Championship matches. The Desk would be situated in the Atrium and would provide a regular and convenient place for a face-to-face chat with your Committee representatives.

The third initiative is a ‘Surgery’. Similar in nature to an MP’s surgery, this would be an opportunity to spend time on a one-to-one basis with Glenn Delve to discuss any key issues. Appointments can be made for a 15 minute slot between 10am and 12noon on the following dates: 30 June, 11 July, 07 August, and 20 August.
