Allen Townsend new head chef appointed to join the team at The Rose Bowl
There’s a new head chef at the home of Hampshire Cricket - The Rose Bowl. Allen Townsend joins the company having enjoyed a long and established career already within Compass UK & Ireland.
It’s a career which has seen Allen win a Silver Medal at Hotelympia for his four-course, fine-dining plated service. He has also previously worked for P&O Portsmouth as well as Goodwood Racecourse and Motor Sports.
Allen said; “I am very pleased to be joining The Rose Bowl at such an exciting time. There are some great challenges ahead and I am looking forward to working hard to deliver a premium service.
“I love working in unusual and unique venues where catering requirements range from a small Deli bar up to VIPs fine dining and A la Carte restaurants.”
The Rose Bowl General Catering Manager from Compass, Gideon Smith said; “We are delighted to welcome Allen to the team. The Rose Bowl catering staff are thoroughly focused on delivering a first class offer and this often means bespoking hospitality requirements for cricket days as well as conferencing and banqueting.
“Such an exciting operational challenge means we need to have a proactive approach to deliver our customer’s expectations. We are sure Allen is the right man for that job and will prove a great success here at the Rose Bowl.”
