ECB Southern Electric Premier League inaugral Twenty20 Grand Finals
The locally-based ECB Southern Electric Premier League is holding it's inaugural Twenty20 Grand Finals at The Rose Bowl on Sunday, when admission to the ground will be completely free of charge.
Hampshire members and supporters will be able to relax and enjoy three 20/20 matches, with Alton facing Bournemouth in the opening semi-final at 11.30am.
The second semi-final features Portsmouth against a Totton & Eling side, which includes former Hampshire pair Derek Kenway and Lee Savident. The match starts at 2.45pm.
The final itself will be played under The Rose Bowl floodlights, starting at 6.45pm.
Licensed bar facilities and hot food will be available in The Atrium throughout the day, from 12 noon onwards.
As a consequence of the recent heavy rain a decision regarding the fitness (or otherwise) of The Rose Bowl for Sunday's Southern Electric Twenty20 Cup Grand Finals will not be made until the morning. Every attempt will be made to get the event played, even if it means a delayed start and also using the Nursery Ground. If the event is cancelled, it will be at Totton Sports Club on Sunday 14th September 2008.
