Sponsorship Update 2008
Clarke Willmott & Chris Benham
After a busy winter behind the scenes at The Rose Bowl, we are delighted to announce a number of new sponsors and advertisers to Hampshire Cricket, as well as extending some existing contracts. Firstly, I am delighted to announce that Main Club Sponsor, Powells have extended their association with Hampshire Cricket. The fantastic new Canterbury playing shirts will again proudly display the Powells logo, and we thank Giddy and all at Powells for their continued support.
Anyone who has visited any of the bar areas will notice that Marstons, the Official Beer Of England Cricket , have become our new Pouring Rights Partner. We are delighted now to be offering popular brands Marstons Pedigree and Marstons Smooth throughout The Rose Bowl’s bars.
We are also delighted to announce five new Official Suppliers for the 2008 season. Southampton based printing company Cedar Group have become the Official Print Supplier to Hampshire Cricket. As well as all the printing needs of The Rose Bowl, Cedar are also responsible for designing and printing our fantastic new match day programme.
We also welcome wine suppliers Wines4Buisness who, as their name suggests, will be supplying The Rose Bowl’s bars and restaurants with a range of wines. Wines4Business is co-owned by ITV’s Dragon Den’s Peter Jones who is a keen cricket fan. Interactive gaming company Play Up have also entered into a Supplier Agreement, as sponsors of our major floodlit games in 2008. Also joining the ranks of Official Suppliers are Hawks 500 Club, the Official Business Club of Hampshire Cricket . Hawks 500 Club offer local companies the opportunity to combine the business and networking benefits with the sporting advantages of being associated with Hampshire Cricket.
You may also have noticed some new names on the perimeter fence here at the Rose Bowl, and we’re delighted to welcome Barracuda Networks, PruPim and Advanced Hair Studio. Churches Fire has also significantly increased their presence around the ground and we thank all advertisers for their continued support.
Finally, the Player Sponsorship scheme has been a real success with 7 of the first team squad now sponsored. Clarke Willmott are the newest of these, sponsoring Chris Benham.
