Jimmy Adams

While he might not always grab the headlines Adams’ consistent approach at the crease means he is one of Hampshire’s most important, and most loyal, players. The Winchester lad came through the development set up at The Rose Bowl and played for both the Under 15 and Under 19 England sides at respective World Cup tournaments. One of his finest moments in Hampshire colours came in 2006, as he struck his to date highest First Class score of 262 against Nottinghamshire. He finished the 2009 season as Hampshire’s highest First Class run scorer, and the same season helped guide the club to Friends Provident Trophy success with half centuries in both the semi final and final of the competition.
