Danny Briggs
2009 was some season for the young bowler, while still technically an Academy player. He made his mark on England’s Under 19 battles against Bangladesh, where he finished as his side’s leading wicket taker with eight wickets. Performances with the Academy and the Seconds earmarked him to make his First Class and List A debuts for Hampshire. He took 3 for 62 in his First Class debut including the prize wicket of Marcus Trescothick. He also represented England at the 2010 Under19 Cricket World Cup, where in a match against Afghanistan he was awarded man of the match with bowling figures of 3 for 15 with his slow left-arm orthodox.
