Competitions and Statistics
Hampshire compete in three domestic competitions – the LV= County Championship, the Clydesdale Bank 40 and the Friends Life t20.
The three competitions represent the three different formats of county cricket – first-class (or four-day) cricket, One-Day (or List A) cricket and Twenty20 cricket. The latter two competitions are examples of limited-overs cricket – shortened forms of the game designed to put batsmen under pressure to score runs more quickly in order to win games.
In Limited Overs cricket Hampshire are known as The Royals and compete wearing blue and yellow coloured kit. In first-class cricket the team are known simply as Hampshire and compete wearing all white kit.
On the three tabs to the left you will find information about the individual competitions, Hampshire’s past record in them and who they’re up against in each tournament in 2012. You will also find links to tables and statistics such as player averages during the season.
