Dominic Cork
This will be Cork’s second year at The Rose Bowl after a thrilling first one. His stunning bowling performances helped Hampshire reach the Friends Provident Trophy final where he again produced a magic spell of 4 for 41, which included the wicket of England wicketkeeper Matt Prior for a second ball duck. He was awarded man of the match and instantly became a cult figure with the Hampshire fans for his heroics. Cork previously had a successful career with Derbyshire, Lancashire and England and his best Test figures are 7 for 43 against the West Indies in 1995. He was handed the captaincy of Derbyshire in 1999 and moved to Lancashire late 2003, where he was pivotal in their promotion to division one of the Championship, taking 43 wickets and scoring 540 runs.
