The Twenty20 Cup

Duration: One Day
Kit: Navy Blue
Format: 20 Overs per team

This fast and furious form of the game has been widely credited with revitalising the county game. Each team bats for only 20 overs, normally in front of a full house crowd with a vibrant, carnival atmosphere. The counties are divided into zonal groups and each team plays 5 home and 5 away games during a short period in June. This frenzied activity ends on the 26th July when the top four teams compete in the Finals Day at The Rose Bowl.

The NatWest Pro40 League

Once the Twenty20 games are over the NatWest Pro40 season begins. Here the counties are divided into a first and second division on merit and the competition format is a one day game played over 80 overs. The competition is won by the first division team with the most points, but end of season play offs for relegation and promotion keep the excitement going right up until the end of September. Fixtures are played on Sundays and Wednesdays, with the floodlit mid-week games proving extremely popular in our hospitality areas.

The Friends Provident Trophy
