Frequently asked questions

 Exec Members Conversing

Q1. Can I bring guests into The Executive Club?

A: Yes. We’d be delighted for you to show off your Executive Club to non-members. Each member will receive a guest voucher ticket or card, with their membership packs, which will allow guests access to four days of cricket at no additional cost. This excludes Twenty20 matches.

Q2. Can I buy additional guest tickets for other games and theTwenty20 matches?

A: Yes. The standard day fee for a guest to upgrade into the Executive Club will be £50 per guest. This fee will only provide access to the suite and food and drink will still need to be purchased at an additional cost. Guest upgrade tickets can be bought from the ticket office and payment can be made in advance or on the day.

Q3. Does my membership allow me access to The Robin Smith Suite at a major match or International game?

A: No. Executive Club membership is only valid for domestic home matches played at The Rose Bowl. However, you can purchase general admission tickets within the members area at a discounted price for these games. The Robin Smith Suite will revert back to a hospitality suite for all major matches.

Q4. Can I eat in the bistro restaurant at other times throughout the year?
No. Unfortunately the bistro restaurant is only open on match days. However food is served daily throughout the year in the Atrium which is located on the ground floor of The Rose Bowl.

Q5. If I buy tea, coffee or other beverages from the Atrium or Derek Shackleton Bar, can I bring these drinks into the Executive Club?

A: Yes you can. However it is worth noting that The Executive Club now benefits from a professional ‘barista – type’ coffee machine providing a high quality blend of coffee, tea and hot chocolate using only the best produce.

Q6. If I buy food from the Atrium am I able to bring it up into the Executive Club?

A: No. Due to the newly refurbished kitchen in The Robin Smith Suite, there will now be an exclusive and cooked - to -order bistro menu available for Executive Club members. As a result of this, Executive Club members will not be permitted to bring food up into the Robin Smith Suite which has either been made at home or purchased from other points in the ground.

Q7. When are the complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits served?

A: Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are available 90 minutes prior to the start of the match. However, the extensive coffee and pastry menu will be available throughout the match.

Q8. Is there a dress code for the Executive Club?

A: In keeping with the surroundings, we request that all Executive Club Members adhere to a smart/casual dress code.  Jeans are acceptable, providing that they are not torn or scruffy.

However please do note: We do not allow running trainers, un-tailored shorts, vests, bare chests, football shirts, rugby shirts or open toed sandals for men.

Whilst there is no strict rule on shirts our preference would be that men wear collared shirts (including polo shirts and polo necked jumpers).

Q9. What time does the bistro restaurant serve food?

A: The bistro restaurant will be open during day matches from 11:30 until 15:00. During evening games or day/night games, the restaurant will serve food from the moment the gates open until the end of the first innings. These timings will be under constant review and will be changed if there is the demand for it.

Q10. Do I need to book a table in the restaurant or can I just turn up on the day?

A: The bistro restaurant is now extremely popular during all games, so it is always worth booking. For busier games such as the Twenty20 matches it is worth booking at least a week to two weeks in advance. To do this call our main reception on: 023 8047 2002 and they will be able to divert your call.

Q11. On the back of the Executive Cards it is written that they are not transferable. However in the literature which has been sent out it states that the cards are transferable, which statement is true?

A: All Executive Club cards are fully transferable. Unfortunately there was an error made when the cards were produced, however all stewards and members of staff are aware of this issue to ensure that members will not be challenged.

Q12. I bought my Executive Club Membership on behalf of my company; however the card has been put in my name. Can anyone within our company still use this card for clients and associates?

A: Yes. As mentioned above, all of the cards are fully transferrable. We plan to replace company membership cards to acknowledge this, as currently our software is unable to print company names and so will instead default to the individual who purchased the membership. This is an ongoing challenge and we will try to rectify this throughout the season.

Q13. Can I bring my children into The Executive Club?

A: Yes. Whilst children are allowed, we do not deem the Executive Club to be a particularly appropriate environment for them.

Those children who are under 5 or Junior Hawk members will not need any additional accreditation and can enter the suite at no additional cost, providing that they are accompanied by an Executive Club member.

Children over 5, and under 16 will be charged £15 for a day upgrade ticket which can be purchased form the Ticket office either on the day or in advance.

Please note that if children are brought into the Executive Club, the card holding member will be responsible for their behaviour. The Executive Club has been designed to create a sophisticated and exclusive area, for members and likeminded business professionals. With this in mind, child sized portions of food or drink will not be available from the bistro restaurant or bar
