Indoor cricket school

About the School

The Indoor School is a large training facility located on the first floor of the main Pavilion.  The Indoor School is primarily used as a six lane cricket facility by clubs, schools, county squads and The Hampshire Academy.  Each net has a slightly different bounce and degree of bounce to test batters and bowlers alike.

The Indoor School is also used to host a number of Indoor Competitions including the NatWest U16 Indoor League and Southampton Evening Indoor League.

The Indoor School is the home of Hampshire Cricket Board’s Coach Education Programme.  The facility assists in the teaching and practice of coaching skills to both cricket players and their coaches.

The Indoor School can be booked in advance for private practice.  Please see ‘How to make a booking’ for more information.

Kid’s Holiday Courses are run by Hampshire’s Cricket Development Team during every school holiday.  Courses are often themed and provide a great opportunity to improve cricketing skills and a have time during the holidays.  Recent popular courses have been two day Twenty20 based courses.

Over 1000 children have attended courses over the past two years.  Courses are lead by our professional staff with a minimum Level 2 coaching qualification, with a maximum of one coach for every 12 children participating.
