James Vince
One of the graduates from Hampshire’s development tour to India in 2007 and that investment in his talent is starting to pay off. The teenager made his First Class debut for Hampshire at the tender age of 18 last season against Nottinghamshire, and since his talent has blossomed not only in the Hampshire team, but also for the England Under 19s. He starred with the bat at the 2010 Under 19s World Cup in New Zealand, finishing as England’s highest scorer and was noted as one of the stand out players on the tour by coach James Robinson. For Hampshire, Vince has taken to the shorter form of the game almost instantly, averaging over 51.40 during his six List A outings. Opportunities are sure to be more frequent this season as Hampshire fight on all fronts in 2010.
